IDI Pharma is a well-established pharmaceutical Sicilian company, and especially within the field of supplements. With this project, the company wanted a multifunctional headquarters, with spaces also dedicated to warehousing and packaging. The building consists of a two-storey office area with a panoramic terrace, a single-level area for research, and a third area that completes the warehouse where picking and packing takes place.
Our engineering firm, Stancanelli Russo, took care of every stage of the design, project management and safety coordination, while the construction company, Ernesto Stancanelli, provided a turnkey service by tailoring the project to our client’s needs.
This synergy of activity allows us to provide our clients with an impeccable service by promptly resolving any possible complications.
Our intervention
The courtyard layout was chosen to make the areas of the building visually interconnected and to use the inner courtyard as a meeting place for the various users of the building. The large curved glass façade and numerous other glazed façades were developed to act as a bioclimatic control element and ensuring optimal ambient lighting in the offices, which is essential for the performance of the business. The curved façade is also one of the project’s most recognisable stylistic features, combined with local stone and typical Mediterranean vegetation, behind which the double-height foyer opens up to serve as distribution and entrance hall.
The entire project was achieved with BIM technology, from the preliminary stages to the construction design, up to the actualisation of the “As Built” maintenance plan.
