The project consists in the construction of a sports facility called ‘Palatenda’, in compliance with the current regulations on sports facilities, complete with the related technical rooms and changing rooms required for homologation according to CONI standards. The drafting of the executive design, safety coordination, direction, measurement and accounting of the works was carried out in collaboration with Cascone Engineering, and G.P. ing. Carmela Garozzo, Stancanelli Russo Associati as the agent of the grouping.
Our Intervention
The use of BIM technology in the design phase ensured a high degree of design and construction precision, and also ensured constant interoperability between the various disciplines involved. The work, designed and built in accordance with the current regulations for sports facilities, with particular reference to the C.O.N.I. standards for sports facilities, consists of a glulam structure, with PVC sports flooring equipped with an aerated crawl space, and modular steel stands.
Technical Pills
The design of the structure envisaged an aerated crawl space using prefabricated U boot elements, usually adopted for residential structures, but not in sports facilities (due to the increased costs involved). The reason for this choice was dictated by the desire to ensure durability and quality of the technical flooring. In fact, the aerated crawl space protects the flooring from dampness in the ground, eliminating one of the major causes of damage, and ensures that the quality of performance is maintained over time.
